gimme, gimme, gimme a lesson after midnight…

This past week has been a whirlwind, to say the least:  moving the sister, seeing Kelly start college, moving myself, realizing that I’m starting orientation for seminary tomorrow … oh and getting to know 2 brand-spanking new roommates.

Just to name a few things….

I haven’t had random roommates since college, and so it’s been interesting getting used to that mode once again — sharing things, talking, getting to know one another — and this time around:  learning a new language.

One of my roommates is from Columbia — and randomly gave my other roommate and I an impromptu Spanish lesson at midnight tonight.  We learned random words, colors, numbers, tall/short, glass, how to roll ‘r’s and the ever important bible verses in Spanish …. All complete with homework and words to practice and the promise of a reverse English lesson tomorrow night.

If this is any indication of what seminary will be like once classes start — I’m in for quite a ride, people.  Come along, if you dare…
