interpretive doodles

I love interpretation.

I love that an artist can write, draw, sing, say, or perform something that they have created … and each person to see it will come away with a different perspective of the piece and of themselves.  You can learn a lot about a person if you ask their interpretation of a piece of art.  Very insightful.

Here’s an example of someone’s interpretation of this Sara Bareilles song.  I love it.

What would your interpretation look like?

I don’t know what my interpretation would look like. I’ll think about that.
But I know I like *your* interpretations … not drawn in stick figures or sung to music or acted out, but written in this blog. I appreciate your thoughtfulness, your resourcefulness, and your insight. Thanks for sharing them here. I don’t say it enough, but I *always* read, and I am *always* touched by it. So thanks.

that’s too bad — because I draw a mean stick figure.

    but seriously — thanks. 🙂
